We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Residential Property team, mainly to be based in our Holborn office but if required to also assist the teams in Putney and Kingston.
The Role
You will assist the department on a variety of matters including substantial transactions, as part of a mix of work which includes residential sales and purchases; mortgages; the grant, renewal and termination of leases and related matters; auctions and dealing post completion matters including applications to HMRC and also Land Registry.
You will be undertaking chargeable work as a fee earner with a personal time and fee target and non-chargeable work that may include, but is not limited to, providing assistance with marketing activities and undertaking appropriate training.
Technical skills and expertise
Knowledge of property, searches and land registry is desirable but not essential. You will be expected to be largely self-supporting in regard to typing and administration and you will demonstrate excellent IT and keyboard skills in addition to literacy, numeracy and attention to detail. You will manage multiple files to strict deadlines and will require strong organisational and time management skills.
